"You never know when you are making a memory"
- Rickie Lee Jones

I love to make photographs - particularly of people. I photograph people in a relaxed way - making the glimpses of everyday life beautiful and meaningful. Curiosity is what drives me. My approach is informal - I immerse myself and watch - I do not direct. Because I care deeply about people, they show me how to photograph them. This results in compelling photographs with the simple, understated elegance of fine art.

For the past twenty years, I have photographed professionally for magazines (i.e.- Boston Magazine, Harvard Law Magazine, Smith College Alumni Magazine, Psychotherapy Networker), corporations (WGBH, Fidelity Investments), book publishers (Random House, Putnam Publishing, Simon & Schuster, Shambala Books), individuals and families. My work has been featured in Picture Magazine, Reflex Publications and Shots Magazine.

I am currently the Director of Photography at the Charles River Creative Arts Program in Dover, Mass., instructing boys and girls from ages 8-15 . I also teach in both the full time and evening workshop program at New England School of Photography. I have studied fine art and commercial photography at Art Institute of Boston, New England School of Photography, Maine Photography Workshop and the Essex Photographic Workshop. I am a founding member of a photography critique group facilitated by Nubar Alexanian. We have been meeting once a month for the last 6 years. In addition, I recently self-published a hand bound book, "Inside Out" - a collection of personal work.

I photograph individuals and families of all ages. I prefer to photograph on location in an enviornment that is most natural and comfortable for the subject. Black and White photography is my speciality and preference.

With deep gratitude, I would like to say "thank you" to all individuals and familes who have and continue to inspire my work.
